When you become a Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings monthly donor, your gift provides consistent and stable funding that lets us make long term plans for building our safe and affordable homes. We use volunteers and in-kind donations to keep building costs low. And, thanks to the operation of our social enterprise through the ReStore, the vast majority of our administrative and fundraising costs are covered. This means that nearly every dollar you donate is invested directly into our builds and not our administration.

Research from the Boston Consulting Group shows that every dollar invested in Habitat’s homeownership program has a return of $4 for the community and on average Habitat generates $175,000 of benefits to society per home, and that’s on top of the economic activity generated from the build project itself. Additionally, Habitat homeowners have greater employment stability, improved health, and are more engaged in their community.
