If we continue to work together as a community, we can help solve our housing crisis, and make sure everyone has a safe and decent place to live. It should be a basic human right.

Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings’ focus is on giving a hand up to as many families as we can.   

We depend on our volunteers and partners to help us lend a hand to families in our community. By providing a means to affordable home ownership, Habitat Hastings Prince-Edward helps families build a better future, inspiring their children to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals.

Anything is possible when we work together.

Volunteer in the ReStore

Builds

For insurance liability purposes, we’re not able to have traditional build days anymore. We’d still like to welcome you to some alternative activities though! We are working on shed build days, among other things. Keep an eye out on our social media for more info.

ReStore

Our ReStores sell donated building and household items and all sales revenue helps support building more homes for families in our community!

Suitability:
Age 15+*

Time commitment: 
4-6 Hours per week

Positions:
Cashier
Merchandising
Warehouse personnel

* Students who commit to a min of 20 hours are eligible for school volunteer hours.

Special Events

Raising funds can be a lot of fun! From golf tournaments to galas, we need your help. We have unique opportunities for you!

Suitability:
Age 16+

Time commitment:

Event management
Planning committee
Set up and teardown

Board of Directors

Do you have the skills, passion and vision to contribute as a member of our volunteer Board of Directors? 

Suitability: 
Age 18+

Time commitment:
Approximately 7-10 meetings annually, occasional teleconference meetings and email votes for urgent items – during the Covid-19 pandemic, meetings are occurring via Zoom

Board members must sit on at least 1 committee; committee meetings are conducted both virtually and in person

Minimum 3 year commitment
